Director of Housekeeping & Training

Ana has been in the hotel industry for over 25 years. She began as a housekeeper and gradually moved up. She gained experience in different departments throughout the hotel until she met her goal of becoming a manager. As a housekeeping manager, one primary responsibility includes ensuring the hotel is clean and well-presented to provide guests with the best possible experience. She ensures her crew is well-trained and well-qualified to promote professionalism and hospitality through their work. With many years in the hotel industry, Ana is flexible in working around the building, including the kitchen, laundry, houseman, etc.

As Ana gained more experience, she was recognized by her General Manager, Shelly Olsen, and recommended to Toby Olsen, a hotel consultant at the time, to begin going out of state to help train and prepare other hotels. He later became the founder of P4 and again recommended that Ana join the team. This would require Ana to train the housekeeping managers to run effective teams. This includes inventory, making schedules, and much more. Ana also trains housekeepers, and a big part of this includes translating. Ana is bilingual and can use her linguistic features in any area of the building to help translate.

Ana has worked for the Hampton Inn & Suites Portland/Vancouver for 9 years. She became a member of P4 2 years ago, and her goal is for all properties pertaining to P4 to be well organized and for 100% satisfaction of guests. For 8 consecutive years, Ana and her team have been recognized for having 100% cleanliness of their hotel. The Hampton Inn and Suites of Portland/Vancouver has been awarded the Lighthouse Award for hospitality for 9 years. Ana is proud to be a part of the P4 team and is always open to gaining and learning new experiences from her team members, as it takes a village.

Ana loves to travel with her husband and is very family-oriented. She has 2 kids and a beautiful granddaughter. When Ana is not working, she is either booking her next flight or inspecting her home for cleaning improvements. She is open to new ideas and is always willing to lend a hand.
